Memorial Day - 2008
Today is Memorial Day in the United States. It is a day that most people think of as merely the last day of a three day weekend. However it is much more than that as it is a day that we remember the fallen heroes that helped us keep our freedom. We also remember the members of our Armed Forces that are in foreign lands helping us to keep our freedom and help others attain their freedom.
While many can't support the war in Iraq, we must support our young men and women who are there fighting for us. We need to keep them in our hearts and prayers and to think of them daily. I have always tried to stay apolitical and to support whomever is our commander-in-chief as it pertains to our armed forces. When I was a Marine, I was bound to support our commander-in-chief and to obey any orders given by my superiors.
Please pray for our troops and keep them in your prayers.
