Relationships - Commit to Growing Old with Each Other
Marriage is a serious commitment between two individuals and that commitment should be remembered no matter how long you have been together. It is a promise that the couple made in front of witnesses, not just on the wedding day but a commitment for years beyond. It is a commitment that makes two people willing to grow old together no matter what the circumstances in life may bring them.
When two people are in a relationship, there are disagreements that may occur and such situations must be handled delicately until the matter has been resolved. Getting married will not make any negative situations go away and professionals are sometimes needed to keep the couple together.
Marriage counselors do this by talking to the couple and by discussing the issues involved. Once the causes of any disagreements) have been determined, solutions are suggested by the counselor. Constant and consistent follow-up must be done to ensure that the changes have been made.
