Relationshps - Holding Hands in Public and Other Acts of Public Affection

Public Display of AffectionAre you someone that hates to hold hands in public or hate a public display of affection? This can be an area of tension for couples, especially if one person is more affectionate than the other. One person can feel rejected and not
accepted.

There is no one answer to this question. Some people due to their family backgrounds feel a level of embarrasment about public displays of affection and that affection is something that should be reserved for a private situation.

If you are someone that is uncomfortable with hand holding or a quick public kiss, does it have to do with what others think? Try to look at what aspect bothers you. Women like to see a man's softer side. If your partner though senses that you are looking for public affection due to a real void of neediness, this may be a turn off and something that would be good to examine in yourself.

This is one area that has lots of opinions and compromising is often the way it is resolved satisfactorily for both parties.
