Relationships-Grandparenting Today Has Changed From Your Grandparents Time

Many things have changed over the years but none is quite as dramatic as this.  People are living longer and are much more active than their grandparents were when they were the same age.  Here is a news clip about the new type of grandparenting of today. 

I know that this can be the case with my daughter and grandson.  My wife, Dale and I both work and have demanding careers.  Dale recently took a job where she travels and she doesn't get to see Gabriel as often as she used to and I know it bothers both of them.  He isn't used to seeing me when he comes over as I just quit a job where I traveled all of the time and he always is looking and asking for "Grandma."  He will settle for me as I play video games better than Grandma but I know he misses her and she misses him.
