I am a clinical psychologist with 30 years of experience in eldercare issues. Our society is in great need for more resources from professional disciplines coming together to care for aging parents, seniors and elders. My wife is a nurse attorney and she has been working closely with me to help baby boomer's make difficult decisions in the caring for their aging parents. There are many resources available in every community it good to start first locating the local Commission on Aging.

Great suggestions. Based on our experience, I would add look for places close to one's home, visit each place and check on the quality of care from various sources.
